Jerry Matecun, MBA, CBA, AIF®
I began my working life in a family-owned business at age 13, and learned very early that it’s the people you serve who put bread on the table. Throughout my career I’ve served small business owners in various capacities, and I’ve never forgotten the early lessons.
I founded CVA to help clients understand how to plan, build, and protect your wealth. My financial expertise spans over 25 years of investment advisory, research, and portfolio management, mergers and acquisitions, and business valuation. I’ve advised public and private company executives, business owners, individuals, and non-profit institutions on issues ranging from succession planning, business valuation, retirement and income planning, asset concentration risk, and how to increase portfolio efficiency to serve particular objective(s).

I performed dozens of business valuations, due diligence, and worked directly with owners and executives in helping them understand how different variables and assumptions impact enterprise value.

I’m a voracious reader, bilingual, and have studied and taught in Spain and Peru. Global travel is a passion I pursue, having traveled extensively throughout 27 countries.
I have more than 10 years in Client Services in the financial service industry. I performed a variety of duties as a Senior Sales Assistant at Montgomery Securities in the International Institutional Equity Sales group. At JP Morgan, I also was a Sales Assistant in its Institutional Equity Sales unit. My duties there included project management and client services. I am responsible for gathering data, performing operational duties, and servicing clients through diligent and detailed follow-up.
Away from the office, I enjoy watching my kids play baseball, basketball, and the guitar! I am also a huge Angels fan. My family and I volunteer heavily at HearAid Foundation, a foundation to help those that cannot afford hearing devices.
